AMANDA ABI KHALIL | FOUNDER
Abi Khalil is an independent curator based between Beirut and Rio de Janeiro. She has been focusing her curatorial projects on socially engaged practices and exhibitions that critically address modes of production and exhibition in the art world today. Abi Khalil holds two Master degrees in Curating art for Public Spaces (Sorbonne Paris 1), sociology of art and cultural policy (Paris VII). She held teaching positions in curating and sociology of arts at the American University of Beirut (AUB) the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) and the Saint Joseph University (USJ) in Beirut.Her work was recently supported by the Jane Farver Residency at the International Studio & Curatorial Program, Inclusartiz, and Delfina Foundation. She was nominated for the Independent Curators International’s Independent Vision Curatorial Award in 2016 and is a 2019 Soros Art Fellow.
NOUR OSSEIRAN | CULTURAL MANAGER
Nour Osseiran (b.1993) is an art practitioner and cultural manager straddling creating and curating, tracing the threads that run through both. Driven by curiosity and concerned with the mediation of contemporary art, she explores the various depths of art and curatorial practice; focusing on dynamic, collaborative, and socially engaged processes with artists, communities, and institutions in the context of post- war Beirut. She graduated with a double Bachelor's degree from the American University of Beirut in Studio Arts ('14) and in Art History ('17).
